Gharkul Belagavi | A Home & Hope for Aged People

Appeal for Donation

A community that bonds and shares its resources flourishes by itself. Elderly care is a modern age issue which needs tailored solutions. Old Age Homes are a need of the hour when children and other family members need to focus on their careers and lives while also caring for the elders. A golden solution is a well equipped old age home that enables continuous comfortable and dignified life in their second innings.

Gharkul was a dream of Late Shri Mukundrao Potdar who tried with all his might to provide as much comfort to the members as possible. He also bought a spacious site at Benakanhalli, near Belagavi city to build a larger facility that could accommodate more members. As fruition of his relentless efforts and with the support of generous people from Belagavi and other places, Gharkul today stands as a proud testament to that passion. It houses 21 rooms and 5 cottages.

The Trust has decided to expand the facility by adding the first floor over the existing ground floor. This would require a large amount of money for which donors can pitch in. Alternatively, donors can also contribute in kind for this construction work.
