Rules For Admission in Gharkul

  1. Admission is given to all persons above the age of 60 years for Men and 55 years for Women. Proof of age and two Passport size photographs are required. Admission form is to be signed by two respected Persons/Relatives, one of which should preferably be a local guardian
  2. Person seeking admission should be free from all communicable disceases and should be in good mental health. The same is to be certified by Family Doctor and our Panel Doctor.
  3. Person seeking admission should independently be able to take care of himself/herself
  4. Those persons who need special care are also admitted at some extra payment depending on individual case
  5. Following payments are mandatory
    a) Rs. 15,000/- as interest free deposit. (Refundable)
    b) Rs. 10,000/- Non refundable donation/entrance fee towards building fund and further developments.
    c) Rs. 2,500/- per month as Payment towards Monthly expences, Payment should be made before 10th of every month in advance.
  6. All above rates are subject to change as per circumstances.
  7. If a person wants to stay in GHARKUL on trial basis, prior to taking admission, he can stay by paying Rs. 200/- per day for about a week.
    The Management reserves the right of admission without assigning any reason.
  8. Initially the admission will be given for two months on trial basis, continuation further will be at the sole discretion of the Management. If the Management does not allow further continuation, the member has to leave GHARKUL within reasonable time. Similarly, if the member decides to leave GHARKUL within two months of admission, he/she will be at liberty to leave. In both events, both the Deposit and Donation will be refunded. After two months, only Deposit will be refunded deducting damages, dues if any
  9. Weekly one visit of a Doctor is provided free by Management. If any additional visits are called for due to sickness, the cost of visits, Medicines, hospitalization if any required, it to be borne by the individuals.
  10. The Management in consultation with Doctors will start the treatment when a member is sick and inform the relatives. No complaints are entertained afterwards from relatives and friends.
  11. In case of serious illness, the Management will start the treatment and inform the relatives whose names are on the records of the Management and the relatives should reach the place or get in touch with the office within two hours and take charge of patient. In the meantime all possible care will be taken by the Management to vive medical treatment. The cost towards all medical services, hospitalisation is to be borne by the member. No complaints in this regard will be entertained afterwards
  12. In the event of sudden death of a member due to unforeseen reasons like heart fail / accident, the Management will intimate the relatives whose names are on the record of the Management. The relatives should get in to touch with the Management immediately and intimate the Management about their further action. If no response is received from within two hours from the relatives, appropriate steps will be taken by the Management. No complaints in this regard will be entertained afterwards
  13. Non-veg foods, alcohol, smoking and chewing of tobacco is strictly prohibited in the premises
  14. No extra connection of any electrical equipment will be allowed without the permission of the Management
  15. The members should not keep any valuables with them. The Management will not be responsible for any loss of valuables. Any additional money required to be kept for the member should be kept under lock and key or should be deposited with the Management
  16. The old age home is not a rented place. Hence, the rules of tenancy, inheritance will be applicable
  17. All members should try to co-operate with fellow members, staff and Management and make their say comfortable and be happy in GHARKUL
  18. If a Member intends to take leave from GHARKUL for some time and wishes to go out and return after few days, he will have to pay 50% of the monthly charges. He/She has to fill the application before taking leave. During his/her absence , he/she will at his/her own risk
